Associations join forces for Conference 2000

Subjects to interest both drycleaning and laundry sectors will be on the agenda at Conference 2000, to be held at the Pine Lodge Hotel, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire 11 and 12 March 2000.

The two day event is being hosted jointly by the Guild of Launderers and Cleaners and the Textile Services Association (TSA) and both bodies will give presentations.

The conference will cover both topical discussions and practical workshops and demonstrations. Presentations will include updates on VOC solvent legislation, land contamination, new employment regulations, and the use of the Web. Procter & Gamble has been invited to answer industry concerns over Dryel. Other talks will cover workwear fashions, and cash vs cards.

Hands-on workshops cover spotting, counter techniques, finishing, a clothes clinic and EPOS systems. There will also be demonstrations of carpet cleaning, finishing cabinets, garment packaging, shirt finishing and wash products.
