Additionally Berendson and ISS have formed a strategic partnership for the Nordic region. This gives Berendson access to ISS customers in the washroom market and also allows it to become the preferred workwear supplier to ISS customers in the catering market. In return, ISS will provide cleaning and catering services to all Berendsen sites in the Nordic region.
Berendsen acquired the ISS laundry and mat businesses in the Nordic region in 2010.
"The activities that we are acquiring from ISS are profitable, have strong margins and complement our existing operations in the region,” said Berendsen's chief executive officer, Peter Ventress. “This will result in a business that is the market leader in washrooms with a balanced spread of activities across the region.”
