Bringing drycleaning to the digital world

7 June 2013

Urban Hamper, a Toronto-based e-commerce company, is connecting the city's drycleaners with their customers by allowing them to place and pay for drycleaning orders online or by smartphone.

The company, which is also extending its service to Montreal, has established a network of authorised cleaners that will act as drop-off and delivery points and provides customers with personalised garment bag.

Co-Founder Rob Winn says that since launching the Urban Hamper last year, the company has attracted interest from drycleaners not only across Canada but also in key cities in the USA. He adds that the company is actively seeking to work with reputable cleaners in each of these markets.
