It was bubbly all round last Thursday when Milton Keynes based launderette, Bubbles Laundromat were presented with two regional awards at the SME MK & Buckinghamshire Business Awards 2019.
The glittering evening held at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Milton Keynes saw the chain of fabulously retro launderettes take home the awards for ‘Milton Keynes Business of the Year’ and ‘Business Woman of the Year’ at the celebration ceremony designed to support and recognise the achievements of hard-working SME’s within the Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire area.
The success comes hot on the heels of Bubbles being shortlisted in the ‘Small Business’ and ‘Customer Service’ categories at the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards, where the winners will be announced next month.
Established in 2014, Bubbles Laundromat was founded to change the perception that launderettes don’t need to be dull and dreary and washing can be fun and sexy. They successfully opened their 3rd premises in Northampton in late 2018 and have two other established stores in Milton Keynes.
Donnalee Andrews owner of Bubbles Laundromat, who was Highly Commndeded in last year's LCN Awards for 'Best Multi-Site Manager, Drycleaner', said: “It’s a real honour to be recognised by the SME Awards as ‘Milton Keynes Business of the Year’ and take home the award for ‘Business Woman of the Year’ too! Andrews continued: “This wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing team who have worked extremely hard over the past 5 years or our fantastic customers who keep us up to our necks in dirty washing! Bubbles Laundromat offers a full range of laundry services across its three premises in Milton Keynes and Northampton including: self and full service washing and drying, ironing, duvet cleaning, dry cleaning, pet bedding washes, sports kit washes and commercial contracts.
