Carbon Trust explains water footprint scheme

14 October 2015

UK
The Carbon Trust has designed a water footprint certification system and will hold a briefing session to explain both the general principles of product footprinting and this latest development on Wednesday 21 October in Birmingham.

The Trusts Standard for Water certification provides manufacturers and service providers with a framework for measuring their use of water effectively by identifying, core areas of water consumption across a full product lifecycle. In this way they can see how to become more efficient and sustainable in their use of water.

Greater water efficiency can also result in cost savings, particularly where energy is required to cool, heat or pump that water.
