Cherry Tree Machines, the long-established UK industrial laundry equipment manufacturer and supplier of Cherry Tree pocket washers and dryers, has agreed terms with Lavatec Laundry Technology to distribute the full range of new Lavatec equipment to the UK laundry industry.
The sole distributor deal covers Lavatec tunnel washers, pass through dryers, ironing equipment, spare parts and engineering. “The deal was signed in March will raise awareness of both the Lavatec brand and Cherry Tree brands with the commitment to excellence that both Cherry Tree and Lavatec offer to end users,” said Bob Mills, CEO of Cherry Tree.
The Lavatec products come with a one year guarantee with three-year options available.

Nick Mitchell, technical sales manager with over 30 years’ experience, will oversee any new equipment enquiries and new builds. For major projects, Cherry Tree has also partnered with Shane Weir, with 28 years engineering experience, from service consultants Tech 2 Serv, thereby bringing together a wealth of experience across all makes of industrial laundry equipment.
“The Cherry Tree site at Blackburn, Lancashire, has been extended by 30% and the company has beefed up service support staff at the same time appointing additional fully experienced engineers and gas and boiler engineers covering all aspects of industrial laundry needs. The UK laundry industry can now expect total support 24/7 to all Cherry Tree and Lavatec products within 12 working hour response to service call outs with spare parts off the shelf in 90% off all cases,” said Mills.
Cherry Tree also offers a selection of preventative maintenance packages to suit most budget including a free of charge visit to premises to price a package. “The all-new ‘Cherry Tree First’ offer to the industrial laundry industry and independents includes lower hourly rates, on-time call out, discounted parts provided you commit to call us first for your service needs. Not to mention the huge savings that can be made through well maintained machinery,” adds Mills.
Cherry Tree will continue to provide service and back-up for multiple makes of machines and has a new repair package available.
