Christeyns’ laundry division revamped to enhance service

Chemicals manufacturer and supplier Christeyns has reorganised its Laundry Field Team and Engineering, Water & Energy division to better service its client base across the UK.

Christeyns Commercial Laundry division, which supplies detergents, supporting chemicals and water and energy equipment, has undertaken a reorganisation of its regional teams and announced new area managers for the south west and south east.

“We have created smaller, more focused teams,” explained operations director Justin Kerslake, “so as to be more agile and flexible to react to customer requirements.  We have also combined our engineering and water and energy teams due to the synergies in these two areas of the business.”

In June 2019 the firm opened a dedicated engineering facility, at its base in Bradford, to house its growing team and provide space for equipment maintenance and testing and the development of new technologies. As the largest supplier in the UK commercial laundry sector, high-tech engineering systems have become a critical part of the customer offering.

Frank Burn, pictured, who previously held a national role supporting the Laundry Field Team Operations and managing the Water & Energy team, will now hold a territory-based role as Area Manager South West.  Burn will however continue to provide his expertise in water and energy equipment across the business in addition to his day to day role leading the South West team.

Burn commented: “This new role will allow me to build on the already strong customer base in the south west region and to focus on strengthening customer relationships. It provides the opportunity for a more in-depth role, whilst still being able to use my knowledge in water and energy savings.”

Matt Uphill, also part of the south west team, will take on the role of national technical support executive to offer technical support in terms of new product applications and training nationwide.

In addition, Keith Stone, well known throughout the industry in the south, has been promoted to area manager for the south east. Kelvin Kriel, Midlands and John Richardson, north and Scotland, complete the experienced management line up.
