Cintas chairman announces retirement

Cintas Corporation, the provider of highly specialised services to businesses throughout North America, has announced that Robert J. Kohlhepp is to retire as chairman with effect from 30 September this year. The company announced that Cintas’ CEO and board member Scott D. Farmer will be appointed chairman.

Cintas said Kohlhepp has served as chairman for seven years. He has been a member of the board since 1979, and served as vice chairman from 2003 to 2009.

Kohlhepp has had nearly 50 years of involvement with Cintas. He joined Cintas in 1967 as controller and subsequently held positions of general manager, vice president and treasurer, executive vice president, president and chief executive officer.

“I thank Bob for the countless contributions he has made during his time with the company,” said Cintas’ CEO Scott D. Farmer. “Under Bob’s leadership of our Board of Directors, Cintas has thrived through challenging economic times and has emerged positioned for even greater success in the future.”
