Clean 07 in Vegas draws the crowds

13 July 2007

Releasing the final figures, the organiser said 14,667 people visited the four-day event in the Las Vegas, surpassing the total of 13,951 visitors to Clean '05 in Orlando.

International attendance also rose, with 1,948 international visitors from 82 countries, against 1,714 from 79 countries two years ago.

“Las Vegas continues to be a good venue for the Clean Show. All indications are that exhibitors had a great show and Clean '07 was a huge success,” said John Riddle, president of Riddle & Associates, the show's management company. “Attendees seemed equally pleased with all they were able to see and learn.”

The biennial show began in 1977 as a means of consolidating several smaller shows for greater financial feasibility. The show attracts all segments of the garment and textile care industry - retail, commercial, coin, institutional and industrial laundering, drycleaning and textile rental. A textile care museum was a popular feature of this year's show.

Over 30 hours of educational seminars were offered by four of the show's six sponsoring associations and a guest presenter, the American Reusable Textile Association.

Clean '09 is scheduled for 18-21 June, 2009, at the Morial Convention Centre in New Orleans. “We are looking forward to another great show in New Orleans in 2009,” said Riddle. “Having visited the city several times in the past few months, I think everyone will be pleased with the “new” New Orleans.
