Clean Linen Services has announced plans for a world-class linen laundry in Slough, Berkshire, which will be the company's tenth and largest operation in the UK. The laundry is optimally positioned to service Heathrow and the growing London linen market.
Set to open its doors for business in autumn 2016, the Berkshire-based site will combine the latest laundry technology with increased productivity to provide even more hospitality businesses with a superior service.
With the acquisition of Paragon Laundry in January 2016, Clean now delivers 130,000 workwear items and four million linen items each week. The opening of the Slough laundry is excpected to increase linen production by 25%, which equates to a further one million linen items laundered and delivered.
Located on Slough Industrial Estate, the laundry will be custom-designed in collaboration with Kannegiesser to transform the existing 42,000 sq. ft. space. When complete it will create over 200 jobs, adding to Clean's existing 1,350 strong workforce.
Jason Miller, Clean CEO, said: "This is another significant development and a major step for Clean. We have taken everything we have learned from our flagship Camberley laundry, which has been in operation since January 2010, and enhanced further the new Slough laundry, which will enable us to continue providing our customers with a world class and industry leading facility."
