Clean Linen Services acquires Paragon Laundry

11 January 2016

UK
Clean Linen Services has acquired the entire share capital of Stevens Hatherley Holdings Limited, trading as Paragon Laundry.
Clean is a leading operator in the commercial B2B laundry sector. With five laundries, it has been involved in both linen and workwear rental, serving the hotel, restaurant, catering, food manufacturing, engineering and pharmaceutical industries.
Paragon is one of the UK's largest providers of linen and workwear rental and a shareholder in the Brilliant Laundry Group. It serves many leading hospitality and workwear customers across a large geographical region of the UK.
The acquisition will broadly double the size of the Clean business, which now supports nine laundries across the UK and further extends its ownership of the Brilliant Laundry Group to become the single largest shareholder.
Jason Miller, CEO, Clean said: "I have known Paragon and worked closely with the business over many years and the integration of the Paragon business into Clean is a logical development."
David Stevens, joint managing director of Paragon Laundry, said "It was a difficult decision for the board of directors to make but due to the strong performance of recent trading we felt it was a good time to make such a decision."

Further details will appear in the February issue of Laundry and Cleaning News.
