Cleaner spreads the wetcleaning message in Massachusetts

9 December 2009

Nguyen made the change to wetcleaning with the help of an $18,000 grant from the Toxic Use Reduction Institute ( TURI) at the University of Massachussetts. He had previously attended an event held by Massachusett's first dedicated wetcleaner, Silver Hanger Cleaners in Bellingham and this helped his decision to adopt wetcleaning technology in his own business.

He is now encouraging other cleaners to make the change. He has already hosted two demonstrations, in November and December, and plans to host more events in spring 2010. Nguyen is also helping TURI to encourage more wetcleaning conversions by collecting data on performance and costs that the institute can analyse.
