Continental Clip has signed up Avonlee Soap of Munster as its Irish distributor for the laundry and drycleaning market from August 1 2003.
The deal will cover the full Continental Clip product range, including the new Professional series. Avonlee will also handle day-to-day technical help and on-site servicing. Continental Clip will provide Avonlee with backup, making regular visits to Ireland to work with Avonlee director John Murphy and his company.
The two companies have already established a good working relationship as Avonlee has distributed the Stamford range in and around its local Munster area. This agreement now strengthens and extends the relationship.
Paul Cousineau, director of Continental Clip said it was important that Avonlee should be more than another distributor. The ability to provide back-up and technical support had been an essential part of the deal.
John Murphy has travelled to the UK regularly during the past six months for technical training from Continental's specialists. He said: "After a great deal of hard work, I am now ready to bring to Ireland the technical support and expertise associated with these products in the UK."
