Continental Girbau, the supplier of laundry equipment and systems in the USA, Canada and the Caribbean, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
Established in 1995 as the North American subsidiary of Girbau S.A. (Girbau), Spain, Continental Girbau has grown "by leaps and bounds," said president Mike Floyd. It is now the largest of the Girbau Group's 14 subsidiaries and employs over 30 staff at its HQ. It operates five brands and divisions, and three subsidiaries.
Its product range has also grown, with 90 products engineered for a variety of laundry systems.
Since 2012 it has been a US distributor for LG Electronics' Platinum commercial laundry range. In 2014 Continental Girbau's industrial division and Lavatec Laundry Technology inc, signed a collaboration agreement to offer industrial laundry equipment in the USA and Canada.
