Davis Service Group sees profits rise by 6%

4 March 2008

Announcing its preliminary results for 2007 on Friday 29 February, the company said profits were boosted by a recent acquisition in Germany, growth in Poland and the exit of some UK competition.

Davis Service Group's profit before tax, goodwill and one-off items was £90.3milliion, up by 6% from £85.3m in 2006. Total revenues for 2007 increased 17 % to £822.1m from £704.6m in 2006, due to strong performances from all three of the Group's geographic regions – Nordic, Continent and the UK and Ireland.

Christopher Kemball, chairman of Davis Service Group, said: “We expect to grow our business in all three regions in 2008 and to make targeted investments and acquisitions. Each region’s growth will stem from different factors but we continue to believe we can still deliver on the confidence we have previously expressed in the opportunities for the group.”
