The business plan sets out what Skillfast-UK will do to improve practical learning in schools, colleges and universities and puts forward a schedule of activities to promote career choices in the industry.
Skillfast-UK will ensure employers in the laundry and drycleaning sector have full access to the £24.5m training fund through Train to Gain when new budgets come on stream in autumn. It will continue work on qualifications, develop training provision in Wales and build the Laundry Achiever competition,
Linda Florance, chief executive of Skillfast-UK, says: “The launch of our C-Change business plan will see us start to deliver real change at grass-roots level.
"Feedback from employers who have seen the plan has been very positive, but we want more companies to get involved with us to drive these changes through."
