DLI announces 2013 mystery shopper award winners

The Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) has announced the winners of the 2013 "Best of ..." awards. The awards are the result of the mystery shopper program, conducted by MarketWise Consulting Group of Appleton, which was extended last year to include personal store visits.
The program was divided into categories and the winners were:

  • LeAnn Glasser of Plantenga's Cleaners, West Michigan, for overall customer service, use of conversation at the counter and for cross selling;
  • Greg Myers of Southside Cleaners, Lakeland, Florida for use of name at the counter;
  • David Whitehurst of Champion Cleaners, Birmingham, Alabama for best clothing review.

To be eligible for the 2014 "Best of ..." awards, DLI members must mystery shop each store location a minimum of six times in 2014. The mystery shopping program consists of an evaluation of the counter person at drop off and pick up, and an overall evaluation of the quality of the cleaning and customer service experience.
