The Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) and NIE Insurance have announced that DLI is exclusively endorsing NIE's business insurance program for DLI's USA members.
NIE's insurance program includes National Fire and Indemnity Exchange (the Exchange, which specialises in fabricare insurance) and policies from other carriers including Hartford and Travelers.
The Exchange issues commercial policies to drycleaners and coin laundries in 33 states. Workers compensation and commercial auto coverage is offered through Hartford Insurance and equipment breakdown coverage is offered through Travelers Insurance.
The relationship between DLI and NIE dates back to 1915. Back then, DLI was known as the National Association of Dyers and Cleaners (NADC).
Bob Aikin, president of the Exchange, said: "We are excited to restore the relationship with our founder. Both organisations are dedicated to serving drycleaners."
