The project was given a higher profile last year when DLI introduced redesigned the logo.
To qualify a cleaner must pass the exams for Certified Environmental Drycleaner, Certified Professional Drycleaner and Certified Professional Wetcleaner. Each exam must be passed separately and the certificate will only be given with all three have been completed. To date 88 cleaners have received the special award.
The Certified Garment Care Professional award is intended not only to reward cleaners for their efforts but also to help them show the public that they are a deluxe business with very high standards.
