Stalbridge Linen Golf Society meets approximately every six weeks writes Alan Cross. Earlier this year John Hickman of Powles Hunt along with Dennis Rutland of Jensen UK and Bill Forsyth of Tibard offered to sponsor the Powles Hunt Masters Trophy and Jensen Challenge.
The competition took place at Canford Magna Golf Club near Bournemouth in October and the nine hole Jensen Challenge was won by Stalbridge routeman Keith Maloney and the 18 hole Powles Hunt Masters Trophy was won by another Stalbridge routeman Kevin Cutler, seen above receiving his trophy from John Hickman of Powles Hunt.
The event raised £500 to be donated to the British Heart Foundation. Stalbridge Linen Golf Society would like to thank everyone involved and would like to invite further offers of sponsorship for future events . The Society also throws down the gauntlet to any club who would like a challenge.
