Drycleaner’s Congress campaign gains pace

1 October 2010

Miller, of the family business Miller’s Laundry and Drycleaning, has gained some high profile endorsements.

On 17 September he announced that the National Republican Congressional Committee had granted him “Young Gun” status and on 23 September he gained the endorsement of former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich.

A series of rallies and public meetings continues. A Town Hall meeting in Brevard on 30 September saw Miller put forward his proposals to “Put America Back to Work” and this weekend (2 October) he takes to the road with Senator Richard Burr to address rallies of local business owners and voters in Rutherford County, Henderson County, Haywood County, and Macon County.

Meanwhile his website (www.jeffmiller2010.com) continues to post attacks and counter attacks on incumbent Heath Shuler on a number of matters including anti-Miller propaganda in Shuler’s recent TV ad and Shuler’s refusal to join the fight to repeal “Obamacare” after having previously voted against the President’s healthcare bill.
