Electrolux Professional and towel manufacturer Hartdean UK have signed a sole agency agreement for Germany, Austria and Switzerland in which Electrolux will offer laundries the chance to include EcoKnit towels as a bundle with their purchase of Line 5000 energy-efficient washers and dryers.

Hartdean managing director Paul Balladon says that Electrolux conducted trials that processed the towels in its 5000 machines and these showed that the load needed 15% less water and that drying time was shortened by 40%.

Balladon says the EcoKnit is his company's first environmentally friendly product. The towels are already sold in over 20 countries.
