The Fagor Industrial Group, an international business group of brands in hotel, catering, laundering and refrigeration sectors, has changed its name to the Onnera Group with effect from October 2013. The group will make its first appearance under Onnera name at the Host Trade Show, held in Milan, 18 - 22 October.
The Onnera group will continue to represent seven brand names including the laundry brands, Danube, Domus and Primer, as well as Fagor and Asber (professional kitchen), Edesa (food distribution and preparation), and Efficold (commercial refrigeration).
As part of the Mondragon Corporation co-operative in Spain, Onnera will market all seven brands on five continents through this global group, with ten manufacturing plants around the world. It will also continue to develop integrated equipment solutions for hotel and catering and laundry markets.
The group is based in the Basque country but the name change, which marks the group's 40th anniversary, reflects a strategy that is increasingly international, and its intention to be a leader in the global market.
It stresses that the name change does not affect existing commercial relations with customers, partners, suppliers, financial management, manufacturing, contracts, personnel and/or shareholders.
