Farewell Torquay, hello Decoy

5 December 2001

Combined Linen Services (CLS) plans to move from its current Torquay home after 18 years and has invested a total of around £4.4million in a 35,000ft2 plant currently being built at nearby Decoy, Newton Abbot.

The site, which is expected to be ready for commissioning early March 2002, will allow CLS to increase its capacity from the current rate of 400,000 pieces per week to 600,000 pieces. Commenting on the development, Alex Rowe said that from his point of view, the new site was probably the biggest single project CLS had undertaken in recent years.
