FCRA gives members a new deal

7 April 2000

The Fabric Care Research Association (FCRA) has launched a new membership package with improved benefits to encourage more businesses to join.

Recognising that there is now a greater overlap between laundering and drycleaning industries and that businesses need information on both, laundry and retail cleaning will no longer be treated as separate sections. Companies will have to take out membership which covers all aspects of the business.

However, subscriptions will distinguish between factory and high street operations and under the new deal, members in both categories will receive additional benefits.

Factory operations will receive vouchers allowing one employee a free day on FCRA courses. High street outlets will receive vouchers for a free rapid opinion garment analysis – return postage and insurance will be paid by the member. The number of vouchers will depend on the number of outlets.

All members will continue to receive the standard benefit package including a range of publications, a free helpline on employment and health and safety matters and a free information service via phone, fax or e-mail.
