Fishers appoints MD to succeed Bruce McHardy

Bruce McHardy has retired as managing director of Fishers Services, the Scottish commercial laundry and textile rental company, after 20 years service with the company. His former deputy Michael Jones took over as managing director with effect from 19 June.

McHardy became Fishers' managing director in 2007 and has kept the company close to its core family service values during a period of consistent growth.

Michael Averill, Fishers' chairman said that McHardy has been pivotal in the company's success and left a strong foundation for its future growth.
He added that Jones had done a superb job as deputy managing director and the company expected continued growth under his leadership.
