Fishers unveils its £4.4m delivery fleet

30 April 2014

Fishers Services, the Scottish commercial laundry and textile rental company, has committed to a £4.4million investment to replace 57 delivery vehicles. The new fleet will support Fishers' business growth plans, increasing total investment to more than £12million in six years.

The company, based in Cupar, Fife, said each vehicle currently covers an average of 250 miles per day and in total Fisher's fleet delivers more than two million pieces of freshly laundered, high quality linen and workwear every week. Its customers include hotels, restaurants, manufacturers, healthcare businesses and cleanrooms.

Fishers has leased the vehicles from Ryder, the commercial vehicle rental provider, on five- and six-year contracts, which will include maintenance. The order is the first in a vehicle replacement programme that will include trucks, tractor units, vans and trailers.
