Fishers, the Scottish laundry and textile rental services provider, has unveiled its new-look livery while taking on another 18 vehicles from Ryder as part of its ongoing fleet replacement programme.

The 18-vehicle order comprises of 17 Daf LF220 15-tonners and a single LF150 7.5-tonner, all fitted with AS Tronic six-speed gearboxes, day cabs, box bodies, and air conditioning.

The new livery comprises eight different designs, representing local landmarks in the key cities that Fishers operates in, each with the tagline: ‘Local laundry – everywhere we go’. The intention is that the trucks will bear the landmarks of the city in which they are allocated to operate.

Fishers operates more than 80 vehicles from seven sites in Inverness, Perth, Cupar (two), Livingstone, Coatbridge, and Newcastle. The vehicles collect and deliver linen, chefswear, workwear, and cleanroom garments and are fitted with tail-lifts (for customers that can accept roll cages) and roller side doors (for customers who can only accept bagged deliveries).

Scott Inglis, commercial director at Fishers, said: "We have been working in partnership with Ryder since 2013 and know that they are reliable and have a strong network throughout Scotland and the North of England. The latest vehicles also include tyre management for extra piece of mind.”
