Gerdum becomes ETSA chairman

Gerdum, who is customers and organisation director of Mewa Group, succeeds Rob van den Akker of the Dutch CleanLeaseFortex Group.

The Brussels-based organisation speaks for the textile services sector at the European level, raising awareness of employee health and safety, public hygiene, costs and strategies for companies and successful branding by corporate uniforms and workwear. ETSA is consulted on various matters such as the revision of the European Directive on personal protective clothing. It provides industry views on food hygiene legislation and future plans to increase the competitiveness of the services industry in Europe.
