The day included visits to Girbau’s three production centres. Guests then attended a celebration of the company. The master of ceremonies introduced a video showing how Girbau had developed and interviewed the senior management team, now largely retired from executive duties, Pere Girbau Bover, Antoni Girbau and Teresa Girbau.
The three thanked those who had contributed to the company’s success and expressed their enjoyment in developing the company: “Even though there have been hard times we have always felt the strength of the team and of the people behind it.”
Chief executive officers, Merce and Pere Girbau Pous then addressed the guests and thanked their predecessors for their achievement. The senior team had set very high standards and had passed on their passion for the company, the importance of respecting people and the values that made the Girbau company different.
The two CEOs spoke of their optimism for the future: “We know that we have the best team, a sound company, an extensive commercial network, the best products and the best strategy.”
