Girbau China will be based in Shenzen, a city of around 6million situated on the mainland just across the water from Hong Kong. It will be headed by general manager Sammy Tung assisted by two staff. He will work to consolidate a commercial network within the mainland and will also be in charge of the office in Hong Kong.
To mark the opening of the Chinese company, group chairman Pere Girbau and his management team visited the Shenzen offices as part of a tour of Girbau's subsidiaries and distributors worldwide.
Girbau China plans to make its exhibition debut at Texcare Asia in Beijing later this year.
