Clean, the independent linen and workwear rental services provider, has been awarded a Health and Safety Gold Award by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

Rob Peters, general manager at Clean’s flagship laundry in Camberley, received the award from Ian Bucknell, RoSPA trustee, on 14 July at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham. He was chosen to collect the award for the year on year improvements in health and safety at the Camberley site.

Clean’s approach to excellent health and safety practices is demonstrated through the implementation of the STOP (Safety Total Observation Process) programme that was spearheaded by Clean’s chief operating officer Bob King.

To date, Clean has identified and prevented well over 1,000 risks that could have caused an accident or injury.
