Government sets out ideas for business finance

5 August 2010

Chancellor George Osborne and Business Secretary Vince Cable have launched a green paper to start a consultation with UK business aimed at improving access to funding for expansion and job creation.

Cable said that businesses across the UK faced problems getting bank loans. He added that they needed innovative ways to access finance from other sources so that they could grow and help the economy. “That’s why this green paper is so important as we look to help viable firms get the money they need.”
