Guide is updated

1 August 1999

The most definitive guide on launderette operating—What Every Launderette Owner Should Know—has been updated by the National Association of the Launderette Industry.

First published in 1985 by the Launderette Owners London Association, and revised in 1991, this vade mecum for new entrants to the industry is an invaluable work of reference for all.

Affectionately known as ‘The Little Red Book’, the guide was originally printed A5 size. The new edition—which is A4 size and spiral bound—incorporates up-to-the-minute information on a broad range of topics essential to the successful running of a launderette operation. These include: buying and selling a launderette, an ABC of launderette equipment, health and safety matters, an environmental health officer’s check list, publicity and promotion opportunities, staff training, statutory requirements, insurance, water softeners, and hints and tips on launderette inspections.
