HUNGARY
The first laundry seminar held in Hungary proved to be a great success, attracting 64 delegates from the country's professional textile care industry, including representatives from hotel and hospital laundries.
The event was hosted by Innovatext Textile Engineering and Testing Institute at its Budapest premises and organised in cooperation with the Hohenstein Academy from Germany and the Hungarian Society of Textile Technology (TMTE).
In putting together the programme, Ludger v. Schoenebeck, managing director of the German Certification Association for Professional Textile Services, focussed on two core points. "Disruptions and quality problems and sustainable textile hygiene.
The presentations were given in German and Dr. Livia Kokas Palicska, institute director at Innovatext, provided simultaneous translations. She commented: "The high level of interest and the overall positive feedback prove that the Hungarian professional textile care industry has a great need for experts who can provide basic and advanced training".
