Lagrange became Cinet’s first president in 1995 and served in that role until 2006 when he stepped down due to ill health. As a representative of the German trade association CITEN he negotiated its merger with CEAPLI, representing small drycleaning businesses, to form Cinet. His career has also included the ownership of several drycleaning shops and membership of the German Diplomatic Service.
Paying tribute to Lagrange’s work for the textile care industry, the Cinet board said that the association owed much of its development and international standing to his tireless efforts in the early days.
“Truly the industry has much to thank Theo Lagrange for and, although he wasn’t able to participate in recent years, his legacy in the industry will continue.”
