Jet 2007 takes a broader view

22 February 2007

This month’s Jet exhibition, which takes place at the Paris Expo, Port de Versaille on 11-13 March, will be more representative of the whole textile care industry compared to the 2005 event, with laundry taking a higher profile alongside the drycleaning sector.

Around 80 exhibitors have booked space and the organiser, Entretien, is confident that visitor numbers will double, with around 4,000 expected.

There will be several events alongside the exhibition. A series of conferences includes a discussion of sustainability in industrial laundering. There will also be fashion shows with student designs on the theme of corporate workwear. A special show on 12 March will feature Miss France 2007 and four holders of similar titles. Miss France organiser Genevieve de Fontanay will present the winning designers with their awards.

With the Paris venue as an added attraction, Jet welcomes visitors from countries beyond France including non-French speaking ones such as the UK. The organiser has arranged special travel deals and details are on the Jet website.
