Johnson completed the course along with Apparelmaster colleagues, David Ray, general manager Birmingham, Jane Skinner, general manager Brighton and Bill Bain, depot manager Aberdeen.
Ray and Skinner were also nominated for the medal but the committee's vote finally went to Johnson.
Dominic Proctor, area operations manager, presented the medal to Johnson, saying his success represented not only a personal achievement but an honour for the company. He said that all the students had brought great credit for Apparelmaster. The company was committed to its Investors in People charter to train and develop people for the future.
