Johnson Wax Professional has completed its £1.6billion acquisition of DiverseyLever and has now announced details of the merged company's UK operation.

JohnsonDiversey UK will be headed by Neil Hufton, former DiverseyLever MD.

Geoff Hooker, former MD of Johnson Wax Professional, takes on leading roles both in the UK and Europe. He will be the UK director of hospitality and institutional sales, but will also head up European customer management, reporting to European president Graeme Armstrong.

The UK headquarters will now be at Northampton, and the offices at Frimley, Berkshire will eventually close.

Neil Hufton told LCN that about 45 staff were employed at Frimley and the new company would do everything possible to help employees relocate to Northampton.

The company had some good people and didn't want to lose them.

Commenting on the new operation, he said that there was tremendous synergy between Johnson Wax Professional and DiverseyLever and that the transition to the merged company would be relatively smooth.

"This is a tremendous opportunity to create a real force for change in the field of cleaning and hygiene. Both companies have a long and distinguished history of product innovation and service.
