JTM keeps Leeds strip in peak form

1 October 2001

Leeds United began the new season in style by making sure its kit is kept in peak condition, thanks to new washers with specially written programs supplied by Miele dealer, JTM Service.

JTM, based in Stanningly, Leeds, is the only dealer in the country licenced to write programs for Miele’s Profitronic machines. MD John Middleton said: “These programs are tailored exactly to the club’s requirements and have been designed for a whole range of applications. Thanks to a fibre-optic link we can change the program structure on specific machines in a matter of minutes.” During the next nine months, backroom staff at the Leeds football academy will handle around 3,000 kit washes (shorts, shirts, socks) plus double that amount of training gear for the first team, reserves, coaches and junior sides.

Assistant centre manager, Liz Barron says the team looks so smart that outsiders think it has a fresh strip for every game.
