JTM to the rescue for Yorkshire flood victims

8 October 2007

John Middleton of the Leeds-based laundry services business, which has been trading since 1983, spotted a need for flexible laundry solutions following the summer floods and decided to create a mobile laundry unit using Miele Professional washing machines.

John joined forces with James Pow of Portakbin and together they offered a solution to Doncaster Council who have temporarily re-housed several Doncaster residents on the Toll Bar caravan site.

John Middleton said: “I was delighted to use our innovation and design capabilities to provide a quick and effective solution to meet the needs of those families disadvantaged by the recent floods. They have had a torrid time but at least they can clean and dry clothes at their temporary location which will go some way to making it feel more like home.”
