Kannegiesser equips energy-efficient Caribbean laundry

10 January 2012

Kannegiesser expects to complete the installation during February and the 20,000 sq ft plant will then process linen for the island’s premier hotels and resorts.

The company will supply two PowerTrans batch systems, five PowerDry dryers, two SHM ironing lines, four AFM-SB towel folders and a full E-Tech monorail system.

The laundry will also feature a complete T E A water system, including ceramic filtration for water recycling and purification, a Fulton steam boiler and an Ingersoll-Rand air compressor system.

The building will use natural light wherever possible but will also be equipped with high power LED lights. Cooling systems will make use of the constant Aruban trade winds but also include inverter-controlled air conditioning.
