Kleen-Tex buys Coir Company

30 September 2003

The acquisition reinforces Kleen-Tex's position in the janitorial supply sector.

The Coir Company was established 15 years ago and was believed to have a turnover of around £500K per year at the time of the deal.

The former owners John and Kathryn Stott will continue to manage the business under its new ownership.

Kleen-Tex is a subsidiary of USA company Kleen-Tex Industries, La Grange, Georgia, but UK managing director Richard Millward said that the deal and been financed and funded entirely by his company. He expects the operation to grow considerably both organically and by strategic acquisition.
