Launderers’ Company invites travel grant applications

15 December 2011

Two scholarships are available. Each successful candidate will receive a grant of up to £1,000 towards the cost of subsistence and travel for a one-week tour of Europe to visit selected laundry and drycleaning businesses.

The scholarship is open to industry trainee/junior managers and also to senior supervisors, educated to at least NVQ2 level, who can demonstrate their ability and experience.

Successful students will be expected to produce a written report on the innovations they have seen and how these could be introduced in their own organisation and in the wider UK industry. This should be suitable for publication by the Worshipful Company.

If no suitable applicants are found at the mid-January review, the scholarship will be held over.
