Launderers invited to join Trafalgar celebrations

7 December 2004

The event is being organised by the Thames Traditional Rowing Association.

Bargemaster Michael Bennett is trying to enlist launderers with rowing ability to man the Princess Nausicaa cutter, which will be representing the Launderers Company. Six rowers (men and women) will be needed and Bennett says they do not need to be Company members, although an industry connection would be welcomed. Training will be provided in the London area, and the task should not prove too onerous.

In addition to the procession, the celebration will include the Great River Race on September 17.
