Laundry sustainability training goes online

31 October 2007

The program has been co-ordinated by wfk, the specialised research and testing institute from Krefeld, Germany. It is part of the European Leonardo da Vinci European project, which is designed to help employees acquire skills and qualifications by supporting innovation in training and education.

The training program is intended for laundry technical managers and staff, and consists of six modules: water usage; machine technology; washing processes; detergent use; energy in laundries; and special aspects of sustainability.

Partners with wfk in the project are the European Textile Services Association; the Textile Testing Insitute (TZU); University of Maribor; Herbert Kannegiesser; Christeyns; International Committee of Textile Care (CINET); Politechnika Lodza Kathedra; and Unitechnika.
