Learning from experience

29 July 1998

The workwear provider, Apparelmaster UK, opened the doors of its state-of-the-art Hull plant recently to a group of important Japanese visitors.

Designed to be a fact-finding mission by Duskin, Japan’s leading workwear provider, and Milliken Japan who provide dustmats, the visit enabled the two companies to discover the sales tools and methods that have established Apparelmaster as one of the UK’s leading textile rental companies.

Alan Simpson, Hull’s general manager commented: “We are pleased to be in a position to share knowledge with Duskin and Milliken Japan and, of course, we are keen to build a strong relationship with them. Our success has been hard won against strong competition – a situation Duskin and Milliken Japan face in Japan – and our experiences and strategies will be of enormous help to them.” The Japanese VIPs were also given a tour of the company’s plant allowing them to see first hand the company’s quality control mechanisms and processes.
