Linde Group relaunches carbon dioxide cleaning operation

9 March 2006

The Fred Butler operation, which replaces the Hangers Europe business, plans to have 23 shops open by the second week in April. These will offer drycleaning in liquid carbon dioxide with shirt washing as an additional service.

To date there are shops in Sweden, the Netherlands and Denmark, but the business will spread to Germany in April with the first store situated in the Höchst district of Frankfurt. Five further stores in Frankfurt will follow and openings in German cities are planned.

The whole operation will be a mix of group owned shops and franchises, but at least in the initial wave of 23, the majority will be group owned.

The group headquarters for the drycleaning business is based in Munich at Cleaning Enterprises GmbH and has a regional support office, Fred Butler Sweden AB in Stockholm.
