Linen managers meet for forum 2000

The Society of Hospital Linen Service and Laundry Managers will hold its annual training and development forum at the Imperial Hotel Blackpool 16 - 19 May 2000.

The event provides a platform for discussing issues that affect laundry suppliers to the NHS and will open with a workwear workshop given by speakers from CCM, the FCRA and NHS Supplies.

The society’s treasurer Ian Hargreaves will address the issue of contingency planning. Chris Ducker talks on lease schemes and private finance initiatives.

Benchmarking and standards of machinery will also come under discussion. The forum will include a user’s viewpoint of the disposables versus reusables argument, anti-bacterial finishes and a look at money-saving ideas ranging from water reclamation to computers.
