LSG builds new Senking factory

10 April 2001

The 25000sq m site at Harsum, Germany, will be completed by the end of the year and fully operational by March 2002.

Senking manufactures tunnel washers, water extraction presses, dryers and washer-extractors (50kg and over). The new site will house not only the company's production but also product development, sales and service operations for the German home market, and administration.

The new plant will allow Senking to rationalise its operation and make a greater contribution to LSG's profitability.

Claimed advantages include an estimated decrease in production time of 33%; reduced stock holding; a 10 - 15% decrease in personnel and storage costs, and an estimated 10% rise in productivity.
